Canterbury College

Williams River Steel have now completed construction of a multipurpose building for Canterbury College in Waterford QLD.

WRS designed the building which stands at 9m high with a floor area over 3000sqm and features three indoor courts (basketball, netball and volleyball), a gymnasium on the 250sqm mezzanine level, staging area, VIP viewing area for stage productions, kitchen with internal and external serveries, amenities and change rooms along with large undercover awnings over the entry and external servery.

Part of our contract included site works for the removal and replacement of three outdoor courts which are now located inside the new multipurpose building.

Large aluminium louvre panels are featured to assist with cross flow ventilation, plus separate entrance points for the gym and the main auditorium, acoustic sheeting and insulation internally for stage productions and the roof and walls are fully insulated for comfortable conditons year round.
