Two projects awarded to Williams River Steel by Fairfax Media, one being the design and construct of a much needed extension to their Beresfield (Newcastle) printing facility and the other a new print facility at Tamworth have taken shape with the Tamworth facility only days away from occupancy.

The Beresfield project is in 2 parts and will see the extension to both front & rear of the existing building as well as the extension of car parking and driveway areas.

The front extension will have 11m high precast concrete walls and will increase the storage area for the newsprint rolls and the rear will have 6m high precast walls and will house the "to be" relocated dispatch area allowing the current dispatch section to be used for production.

Further north, the Tamworth operation will benefit from the 1800sqm print facility which now completed will be insulated and features precast panel walls to create a climate controlled environment.

Site preparation, erection and internal fit out of the buildings along with landscaping, drive ways and fencing were all included in our contract.
