Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club

The Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club's latest addition to their existing complex is a commercial tenancy, bar area and kitchen facility. Located on Newcastle Harbour, the facilities also include a boat yard and commercial centre previously built by Williams River Steel.

Features of the latest project include elevator lift for easy access to the second floor, roller shutters & stone benchtops in the bar area finished off with timber flooring, a poker machine and gaming area as well as a relaxing beer garden, complete with sails and turf for the more informal occasion. The stylish furniture and floorcoverings used internally compliment the design of the building which allows patrons to enjoy superb views of the harbour.

Precast concrete panels were used on the external walls, which gave us design flexibility especially with the external signage, and the curved roof kept the building design in line with the existing buildings at the complex. Our contract also included external pavement, stainless steel awning, and sun louvres.

With handover recently taking place, members have been making good use of the facility with new membership numbers on the rise.
